Big Mountain Barger: Gnarly lines, tight spots, pillows, drops, variable conditions at speed.
For big mountain riders, the demands on the board are great. It must be stable on the high-angle terrain, yet be maneuverable in the tightest couloir. It must barge debris, yet hold on the deepest turns. It must be uncompromising, yet get you out of trouble when the shit hits the fan. The Mace was designed in direct response to those needs. Medium, positive camber with a large sidecut maximizes edge contact and hold on steep, firm surfaces. A mellow taper, gentle early rise rockers and blunt nose/tail shape trim overall length for turning ability and clearance without sacrificing float, while running length is maximized and flex / dampening dialed for maximum stability at speed.
